Joseph Harrison Jr. has joined Dentons’ Evansville office as a partner in the Public Policy & Regulation practice, bringing more than 30 years of experience working with government agencies in southwestern Indiana. He currently serves as attorney for Posey County, Indiana, the Vanderburgh County Redevelopment Commission, and the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Building Authority.
A lifelong resident of Evansville, Joe began his government involvement in the region in 1991 by representing the Vanderburgh County Council. Over the years, he has served as attorney for numerous agencies, including Vanderburgh County, the City of Evansville and the Area Plan Commission of Evansville-Vanderburgh County.
“Joe is a well-known and well-respected lawyer in southwestern Indiana. His depth of experience and knowledge from representing government agencies and appearing before them will help our clients as they seek to navigate local regulations and policies,” said Trisha Dudlo, Evansville office managing partner.
In addition to his public policy practice, Joe advises local businesses on labor and employment issues, contracts, real estate matters, leases, acquisitions and day-to-day operations. He also represents business clients before government agencies, drawing on his extensive municipal experience. Joe also represents individuals in a variety of matters, including litigation and estate planning.
“We are always seeking to add skilled and talented lawyers who can help deliver the results our clients want,” said Keith Bice, managing partner of Dentons Bingham Greenebaum. “We’re thrilled that our clients will be able to tap into Joe’s experience as they navigate government or corporate challenges.”
Prior to joining Dentons, Joe had his own law firm and previously practiced at Massey Law Offices and Bowers Harrison in Evansville. He is a 1984 graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and earned his BA from DePauw University in 1981.
