Dentons Canada announces the appointment of Kimberly Grange as its first Canada Director of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (ID&E).
Reporting to Tim Haney, CEO of Dentons Canada, Kimberly assumes this newly-created, senior leadership role and will work hand-in-hand with Dentons’ leadership teams in Canada and globally to realize the Firm’s vision to further embed its values of ID&E across all facets of its business.
“I am honoured to take on this role, and to further develop our ID&E strategy. Considerable and meaningful work has already been done, but there is more to do as we continue to foster a culture of belonging for all our people,” said Kimberly. “To be impactful and sustainable, ID&E must be a vital and integrated part of all of our systems and processes. As an organization we are deeply committed to this, and I will ensure we continue to take concrete steps and action change across our firm.”
As Canada Director, Kimberly will lead the Firm’s I&D Council and support the affinity groups across Dentons Canada, including the Black Professionals Network, WomenLEAD, and GLOW. She will also become a member of Dentons’ global inclusion and diversity team and collaborate with colleagues across regions.
“I am very pleased that Kimberly will be leading a growing team of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity professionals who will support our firmwide efforts to ensure we continue to live up to our commitments in this area,” said Tim Haney, CEO of Dentons Canada. “ID&E is integral to our strategy and having a champion, like Kimberly, dedicated to driving our goals is an essential element of our vision.”
Kimberly has held various leadership positions throughout her career, and has a strong record of developing talent processes as well as delivering projects through an ID&E lens.
She is one of the leaders of the Firm’s Indigenous Inclusion Working Group, which is creating the foundations for Dentons Canada’s reconciliation plan. She has also taken an active role advancing conversations about mental health, both at Dentons and with students on campuses, as the Firm works to destigmatize mental health in the legal industry.
