Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons has advised self-storage provider Top Box on its €69 million sale to Shurgard as part of a bidding process. As part of the transaction, Shurgard is acquiring five properties with a total storage area of around 17,100 square metres in Essen, Duisburg, Cologne, Wiesbaden and Mannheim.
Shurgard is the largest provider of self-storage facilities in Europe. The company operates 273 self-storage facilities with a total of 1.4 million rentable square metres in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Belgium and Denmark.
