Dentons advises on the acquisition of Enerqos by Ameresco

Global law firm Dentons assisted Ameresco, a US leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, owner and operator, in the acquisition of Enerqos Energy Solutions and its affiliate E.G. Esco from xRIT Energy Transition Holding.

With this acquisition, Ameresco, which has a capitalization of more than US$2.5 billion on the Nyse, strengthens its international presence by expanding its footprint in Europe and adding a new pipeline of work throughout Italy. Ameresco already offers clean energy solutions in several European countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland and Greece, thus expanding its portfolio of clean energy projects and energy efficiency solutions that increase energy savings and lower carbon emissions.

Dentons advised Ameresco on all the phases of the acquisition (including due diligence, regulatory advice and all of the acquisition contractual package) with a multidisciplinary team led by partner Ilaria Gobbato and partner Luigi Costa, co-head of the Project, Energy and Infrastructure business unit, coordinated by managing counsel Ginevra Biadico and composed of managing counsel Filippo Frabasile, associate Silvia Lazzati and trainee Alice Bixio. Partner Luca De Menech, associate Marco Viola and trainee Celeste Campisi, assisted with regard to labor law issues, while partner Michele Carpagnano and trainee Giovanni Diana advised on golden power checks.
