The Dentons España asset finance team has advised the Eliance Group on the acquisition of five (5) new Airbus Helicopters from the Waypoint Group and the bond syndicate led by MEAG on the financing of this acquisition through the bond issue by the Eliance Group.
This new acquisition allows the Eliance Group (one of the leading helicopter operators in Spain) to increase its fleet, strengthening its position in the medicalised helicopters assistance sector.
The operation has allowed Dentons to once again support the Eliance Group and its bondholders, deploying its knowledge and extensive experience in aircraft acquisition, asset finance and debt issuance, strengthening its position as a leading aircraft finance firm in Spain.
Jabier Badiola (managing partner of Dentons España and responsible for the Banking & Finance area of Dentons in Spain) has led the operation, with the assistance of Ignacio Corujo, partner of the Capital Markets department in charge of the issue, and Ignacio Fernandez, associate of the Banking & Finance department, helping with the acquisition of the aircraft. They were joined by Luis Belart, counsel in the Banking & Finance department, and Ana Artola, associate in the Banking & Finance department. On behalf of Dentons Chile, the operation was led by Juan Vigon, partner of the Banking & Finance department.
