Global law firm Dentons has advised GÜRİŞ on the connection of its new solar power plant to the connection grid of its wind farm, as well as on regulations applicable to its battery energy storage project.
GÜRİŞ is a Turkish-based group of companies with more than 40 affiliates and 8000 employees worldwide, including in Ukraine. In Ukraine, it has developed, built and been operating Ovid Wind Power Plant, the first wind plant in Odessa region with nine 3.6 MW turbines. It also continues to develop new wind, solar, energy storage and hydrogen projects, thus contributing to the Ukraine’s energy independence.
A team from Dentons’ Kyiv office, led by energy partner Maksym Sysoiev, provided full-scope regulatory advice to GÜRİŞ under Ukrainian legislation, as well as legal advice and assistance with documents and agreements related to the grid connection and the battery energy storage project. On behalf of the client, Maksym Sysoiev interacted with NPC Ukrenergo to obtain official clarifications in respect of certain regulatory issues.
