Dentons advised Genesis Capital on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Slevomat group

Prague—Global law firm Dentons has advised the private equity group Genesis Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in the Slevomat Group, the operator of the leading Czech and Slovak travel and experience platforms Slevomat.cz and Zlavomat.sk.

Genesis Capital acquired the controlling stake through its fund Genesis Private Equity Fund V. The remaining shares will be held by the current members of the Slevomat Group’s management team and the family office of Jitka Cechlová Komárková. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authority.

Slevomat, which had been owned since 2017 by the UK-based Secret Escapes Group, is returning to Czech ownership through this transaction. According to the management, this is a strategic step that will enable the group to continue growing, strengthen its market position, and further develop its technological capabilities and customer experience.
