Delhi Police Registers Fir Against Gurugram Builder And Its Directors Under Court Order For Cheating The Home Buyer/Allottee

On 10.09.2022, Delhi Police registered FIR against Pareena Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram its Promoters/Directors, officials and broker/agent for cheating, on a complaint lodged by the home buyer. The builder had assured to handover possession on or before 01.04.2018 of the apartment booked by the buyer in “Coban Residences” claimed to be an upscale luxury residential housing project having World Class Gymnasium,, Swimming Pool, Indoor Games Arena, Badminton/Volleyball/Basketball court, Open Amphitheater, Party Venue, Jogging/Cycling Track, Children Crèche, Play Area, etc. in Sector 99-A, Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram.  But the builder did not complete the project and thus did not handover possession till date despite having received almost full payment from the allottee of the apartment. The builder did not declare the basis of computation of Super Area and the Carpet Area till date and collected full payment on the basis of Super Area as represented at the time of booking. The builder also fabricated certain documents and indulged in falsification of accounts. On a complaint made by the home buyer, Shri Ayush Sharma, Metropolitan Magistrate, Rohini Court, Delhi directed the concerned police station to register FIR and conduct investigation in a fair, impartial and expeditious manner. Advocate RK Gossain, a criminal lawyer associated with a leading law firm argued the matter before the court of the Metropolitan Magistrate
