The Chengalpet court on Monday convicted techie Dhasvanth in the rape and murder of seven-year-old Hasini in Chennai, and also sentenced him to death.
The 23-year-old had burnt the little girl’s body after he committed the crime in February 2017.
The accused had been charged with murder charges previously for killing his mother but sadly got bail and since then hiding from Bombay Police.
Victims body was used to identify by Super Imposition, court inclined upon DNA tests of semen in the clothes of the victim and matched with that of accused and also took evident notice that he was the last person to see the child before she got missing.
With respect to this case, he has been charged with following sections under IPC that are as follows, Section 302 (Punishment for murder), 201 (Causing Disappearance of evidence of offense), 363 (Kidnapping), 366 (Kidnapping and abduction) , 354-B ( Assault or use of criminal force on woman with in tent to disrobe),and Section 4 & 5 of Protection of Children from sexual offences act ( Aggravated penetrative assault and Punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault), Judge P Velmurugan held the accused of death sentence and jail term for the term of 46 years.
