Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised the lenders on the €14.3B acquisition by Danish transport and logistics company DSV of Deutsche Bahn’s logistics subsidiary, DB Schenker. The €14.3 billion all cash transaction will be financed through a combination of equity financing and debt financing, with committed financing facilities provided by BNP Paribas, Danske Bank, HSBC and Nordea.
This is the largest transaction in DSV’s history, and it is expected to boost DSV’s global reach and operational capabilities significantly. It will also lead to substantial investments in Germany.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Partner Jim MacHale, who was supported by Senior Associate Elphina Franklin, Associate Boma George and Trainees Chantelle Richter and Sian Grady.
