Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Silver Point Capital on the recapitalization of Southeastern Grocers, LLC (SEG), a regional grocer that operates the Winn-Dixie brand. Silver Point was the sole lender in a US$200 million senior secured facility provided to SEG.
Partner and Head of the Americas Debt Finance practice Andrew Young led the transaction with support from counsel Thomas McGowan and associates Xiaowen Zou (Washington, DC) and Daviel Rodriguez on finance matters, partner Jeanne Roig-Irwin and associate Dawn Goldberg on real estate matters, partner Brian Lohan and counsel Sarah Campbell on restructuring matters, and partner Avrohom Gleber on tax matters.
This transaction continues Clifford Chance’s longstanding position advising on complex private credit transactions.
