Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Rabobank on the second cluster of solar PV assets financed under the €200 million framework project finance facility for AMPYR Solar Europe, a leading pan-European solar developer and independent power producer (‘IPP’), as part of a portfolio of fully owned projects combined with projects with community participations.
This relates to four photovoltaic parks in the Noordoostpolder along the Noordermeerdijk with installed capacity of approximately 96MWp, whereby solar panels will be placed between and directly next to the wind turbines on the Noordermeerdijk in the municipality of Noordoostpolder, becoming the largest solar farm built underneath a windfarm (NOP Agrowind). The project is considered to be unique, both in its design and in the collaboration with other developers.
Clifford Chance has previously advised Rabobank on the first three Solar PV assets financed through the facility in the communities of Echt-Susteren, Tinte and Venray in the Netherlands. Read more here about the unique structure developed with Rabobank and AMPYR Solar Europe, which allows AMPYR Solar Europe to further build out its project finance global portfolio consisting of different sized projects under a future proof set of finance documents.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Nanette Rutgers and Liesbeth Buiter and further consisted of Carlijn Tenge, Lotte de Bruin, Esmée Oldenkamp, Johanneke Butijn and Dilan Ata.
