Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Goldman Sachs, Huatai Financial and J.P. Morgan (in alphabetical order) as the joint sponsors as well as the underwriters for SF Holding’s H share initial public offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. SF Holding, which is also listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), is the largest integrated logistics service provider in China and Asia, and the fourth player globally. The IPO, one of the largest in Hong Kong this year, is expected to raise approximately US$750 million.
Partners Tianning Xiang and Fang Liu co-led the transaction with support from lawyers from across the firm’s Greater China IPO practice, including counsels Claire Cao and Erxin Lu, associates Ada Zheng, Yuer Shao and Yuqing Liu and trainee solicitors Ke Shi and Changle Xu.
Tianning said, “We are proud to have advised on SF Holding’s landmark IPO in Hong Kong and to continue to play a crucial role in the company’s internationalisation strategy. Its listing in Hong Kong has helped SF Holding to attract more international investors and raise the profile of its brand as the company expands its international business. As one of the largest listings this year in Hong Kong, this transaction also reflects the strength of the city’s capital markets, and investors’ confidence in the growth opportunities in the logistics industry.”
Clifford Chance previously advised SF Intra-City, a group member of SF Holding on its US$276 million Hong Kong IPO and listing and Deutsche Post DHL Group on its RMB5.5 billion Greater China supply chain deal with SF Holding.
