Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised on the establishment and launch of Arrowpoint Investment Partners, an Asia-based multi-strategy hedge fund manager. The firm also advised Arrowpoint on its negotiations with seed investors, and the structuring of the manager’s equity participation.
The Cayman-registered fund launched with an initial target of around US$1 billion in assets under management, and offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. Arrowpoint is one of the largest hedge fund launches in Asia this year.
Lead partner Matt Feldmann said, “We are thrilled to have played a role in Arrowpoint’s successful launch. This transaction underscores the market-leading expertise of our funds practice, and our track record advising on some of the largest and most complex private fundraisings in the market.”
Matt was supported by a team in Singapore, Hong Kong and New York, including senior counsel Teresa Leung, counsel Luke Chen, associates Jamie Tso and Kin Kan Chan, and partners Avrohom Gelber, Paul Koppel and Jefferey LeMaster. Walkers acted as Cayman Islands counsel.
