Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Insight North America LLC in connection with the sale of the assets of Insight Select Income Fund (INSI) (NYSE: INSI) to KKR Income Opportunities Fund (KIO) (NYSE: KIO).

The definitive agreement, announced by the Boards of Trustees of both KIO and INSI, marks an opportunity for Insight North America LLC to simplify its US business and focus its resources on core strategies.

Partners Vadim Avdeychik and David Brinton led the transaction, supported by Jeff LeMaster and associates Peter Guinnane, Emily Picard, Caitlin Hagart and Aljawharah Alsadoon. Partner Philip Wagman and associate Joshua Thomas advised on tax.

The transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, is conditional, among other things, on the receipt of necessary KIO and INSI shareholder approvals.
