Clifford Chance advises Capital Dynamics on its fifth flagship secondaries fund, Global Secondaries V

New York, London: Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised independent global asset management firm Capital Dynamics on the structuring and formation of its global secondaries fund, Capital Dynamics Global Secondaries V (GSEC V).

GSEC V held its final closing with commitments in excess of US$750 million. GSEC V invests in a diversified portfolio of global secondary interests in mid-market private equity funds, with a focus on smaller, off-market opportunities in the Limited Partners portfolio and General Partner-led markets. Capital Dynamics is a longstanding client of Clifford Chance and GSEC V is one in the series of funds, accounts and transactions that the firm has advised on.

Funds & Investment Management partners Michael Sabin and Gerard Saviola co-led a cross-border team, supported by Vishal Mashru, Ian Ferguson, Patrick Meniru, Gabor Darida and Georgia Eldridge (LON Funds); Dan Drabkin and Krishna Skandakumar (NY Funds); Cliff Cone and Andrew Nelson (NY Regulatory); Simon Crown and Jack Harrison (LON Regulatory); Paul Van den Abeele and Matthias Kerbusch (LUX Funds); Anthony Stewart and Callum McKinnon (LON Tax); David Moldenhauer and Hannah Richard (NY Tax); Paul Koppel and Thomas Koh (NY ERISA).
