Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Allwyn on its partnerships with both McLaren Racing and Formula 1. These strategic partnerships will see Allwyn become an Official Partner of both the McLaren Formula 1 Team and the Formula One World Championship itself, aiming to enhance brand awareness and fan engagement through the global platform of motorsport.
These organisations have a huge global reach between them and the partnerships are an opportunity to introduce each brand’s audience to one another, driving growth for each business in new markets.
David Koláček, Clifford Chance relationship partner for Allwyn, commented: “We are thrilled to have once again supported Allwyn on such a significant partnership. This is another important milestone for Allwyn and we are proud to have played a role in helping to expand its presence in the world of motorsport.”
Clifford Chance has a long-standing relationship with Allwyn, having recently advised on strategic advisory and M&A matters, including Allwyn’s agreement to acquire gaming services group Novibet or its €1.3 billion senior bond offering.
This transaction continues Clifford Chance’s long-standing work in the sports and entertainment sector. The Clifford Chance deal team was led by senior associates Jamie Andrew and Alex Walker with associate Laura Hartley and partner Stephen Reese.
