Clifford Chance advises ADNOC Drilling on its partnership with MB Petroleum Services

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised ADNOC Drilling Company PJSC (“ADNOC Drilling”) on its acquisition of an 80% equity stake in MB Petroleum Services LLC (“MBPS”), one of the leading drilling and oilfield services providers in the region with operations in Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, marks ADNOC Drilling’s second acquisition as it accelerates its regional expansion strategy. It is expected to add scale and capability to ADNOC Drilling’s operations and strengthen its presence in four key Gulf markets. The partnership includes 21 rigs and a portfolio of oilfield services contracts with national oil companies across the region.
