Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised a syndicate of lenders on the successful £364 million refinancing of Newcastle International Airport, supporting the Airport’s long term growth ambitions and its commitment to achieve Net Zero Carbon status by 2035. The package includes a £20 million Green Loan dedicated to projects that advance the Airport’s sustainability targets.
The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Julia House, working closely with director Kate Mccomiskey, and associate Nourhan Marouf. Hedging support was provided by Will Winterton and Artur Gladysz; whilst Jemma Dick and Marco Montanaro advised on tax elements.
