The Online Casino Situation in IndiaHow to Pick the Right Indian CasinoConclusion

One of the best parts about them is that most of them are mobile-friendly which means that players can enjoy their favorite games on the go. Players from India can find established online casinos on sites like BettingGuide as well as new casinos looking to make a name for themselves.

The situation in India has been developing for some time. The country has strict laws against online casinos and gaming in general.

The Online Casino Situation in India

The thing about India is that it has come with pretty complex laws. Some states have banned online sports betting, but there are no federal regulations that specifically ban online betting. The casino situation was in a rut for a while.

Casinos were permitted in certain states, but online casinos were not. As times changed and legislation improved, by 2022 Goa, Daman and Sikkim were the states that legalized online casinos in India.

The state of Sikkim also allows an online lottery that accommodates all Indian players. When it comes to online casinos, Indians can’t form their brand and need to rely on offshore companies to provide online casino games for them. In addition to this, any brand or operator that decides to operate in one of these states needs to make Rupees an available payment method.

So, Indians can enjoy online casinos in the states mentioned above, but only on those casino sites made available by offshore operators.

How to Pick the Right Indian Casino

Now that you know that online casinos are legal in India it’s time to go over some pointers that you’ll need to use whenever you’re looking for the right Indian casino site.

Firstly, you’ll need to go over the site and look for a license. This is usually found at the bottom of the webpage and by finding the license you’ll know you’re on a legal site. Stay away from the ones that don’t offer a license.

Secondly, you’ll need to go over the bonuses and games available on the site. When it comes to the games, sites will offer slots, and table games and some Indian sites will even offer Indian traditional games like Andar Bahar.

In short, you’ll need to go for the games you’re familiar with. The bonuses will come in various shapes and sizes and some of them might suit you while others won’t. As with the games, you’ll need to go for the bonuses that seem good to you.

Mobile-friendly casinos are available in India and if you’re a mobile player then you’ll need to check if the potential site you’re on is compatible with your mobile device. But games and promotions aren’t the only things to look out for when looking for the right casino site in India.

Another point to consider is the availability of payment methods. Indian casino sites will have plenty of them and you’ll need to find the site that offers yours. Customer treatment is another important point which is why you’ll need to check if the site’s customers are treated properly.

Conclusion

In conclusion, online casinos in India are legal in 3 states. Casino operators offer them to Indian players and accept Rupees, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a careful approach when picking the right Indian online casino.
