Infants demand natural care, and thus parents have to be extra conscious with every little thing their baby needs. Right from sterilized sippers to the complete range of baby care products, everything needs to be safe!.

There are several baby product brands manufacturing quality products without using harmful ingredients like- triclosan, phthalates, and parabens.

Here is the list of some globally recognized brands, especially when it comes to complete baby care.

Most Preferred Baby Care Product Brands in the Global Market

Pampers-

It is an American baby product manufacturing brand serving since 1961. Pampers is highly recognized for the range of products including- training pants, diapers, swim diapers, absorbent underwear, and baby wipes.

This globally-popular brand name is always in talks for its unique advertising way. In 1987, Pampers paid a hefty amount of $50,000 to be featured in the famous movie ‘Three Men and a Baby.’

Mamaearth-

A brand unearthed by an Indian couple, Gazal & Varun, Mamaearth produces non-toxic baby care, skin, body, hair products. The brand is still in the process of expanding its range of products. One of the significant reasons why a vast majority of people prefer Mamaearth is its quality, affordable price, and natural ingredients used.

Mothercare-

Founded in 1961, Mothercare is an employer to more than 5,852 employees that generates an average income of $667 million (as of 2017). Right from maternity clothes to baby dental care products, Mothercare is one of the biggest giants of this domain.

Johnson & Johnson-

Founded in 1886, J&J is an American MNC dealing in two different segments including- consumer health (baby care, vision care, wound care, nutritional) and medical devices (Diabetes care, Insulin delivery devices, self-measured blood glucose monitors, etc.)

J&J is one of the biggest brands in the baby care products industry having 250 subsidiary companies, operating in more than 60 countries, and selling their products in 175 countries approximately.

Here are the insights into the story-

Johnson & Johnson Faces Talcum Powder Lawsuits

In October 2019, more than 15,000 plaintiffs have claimed that Johnson & Johnson’s baby talcum powder contains cancer-causing elements. Before this, in 2016, two women (who used J&J talcum powder regularly & obtained ovarian cancer) filed a case against J&J and in-return received a claim of $55 million and $72 million individually.

According to a report prepared and generated last year by Reuters, J&J itself claimed that it was in cognizance that talcum powder has some elements releasing asbestos (cancer-causing components). The stock produced and sold between 1971 to early 2000s had asbestos still the consumers were kept unaware for decades.

As per Dr. Daniel Cramer (a Harvard Epidemiologist), more than 10,000 American women have ovarian cancer, every year. Resulting, most Americans have lost their faith in J&J after witnessing a number of lawsuits in quite a short span of time.

This connection between talcum powder and ovarian cancer had become more prominent after research and tests performed back in the 1980s.

The Major Cause of Negligence

As the J&J baby powder has been classified as a cosmetic product, the FDA did not issue any talcum powder usage and warning regulations since the beginning. As per researchers, the powder is recommended for external usage, and when used daily, its particles travel to the female reproductive system causing ovarian cancer.

Seek Legal Help, If Suffering From Talcum Powder Cancer

According to laws, a woman or her family can claim compensation for bearing pain, high medical expenses, or an incurable health disease like ovarian cancer.

In respect to this, there are many award-winning talcum powder cancer lawyers in the United States who have been handling such cases for years and have helped a high number of women win suitable compensation.

Johnson and Johnson’s company may have denied any responsibility against thousands of affected women, it has certainly lost the trust of loyal customers in recent times.

So far, thousands of women died, and a high number of them are still surviving with ovarian cancer caused through regular use of baby talcum powder.  If you or any loved one is entangled in such a condition, feel free to take legal help to hold the company accountable for its unethical practices, and keep your baby happy and safe!
