A&O Shearman has advised Spuerkeess, as arranger and lender, and the other syndicate lenders BGL BNP Paribas, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, and Banque Raiffeisen on financing of the “Skypark Business Center,” a 372m-long multi-tenant building located at Luxembourg Airport, connected to the terminal and held by lux-Airport, Société de l’aéroport de Luxembourg S.A. The Skypark Business Center is one of the largest buildings in Europe with a wooden structure. It used a timber construction method to reduce CO2 emissions and thus promote the commitment of lux-Airport towards environmental responsibility.
Andreas Hommel, lead partner, comments: “This transaction represents a significant milestone and stands as one of the largest single-asset real estate financings in Luxembourg. The successful completion of this transaction underscores the Luxembourg banking industry’s commitment to supporting key infrastructure projects in Luxembourg. We are delighted to have assisted in this transaction and would like to thank our clients for their trust.”
The A&O Shearman team was led from Luxembourg by real estate finance partner Andreas Hommel, and associates Arnaldo Mitola and Philippe Storck.
