Allen & Overy (“A&O”) announced that Romain Dambre has joined the firm as a partner in its U.S. Corporate practice. Romain joins A&O’s New York office from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice.
With over a decade of experience, Romain advises clients on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity transactions and corporate counseling matters, including corporate governance, shareholder activism and general corporate and securities law matters.

Romain holds law and business degrees from Yale Law School (LL.M.), Sorbonne Law School (Ph.D. and J.D.) and HEC Paris business school (M.Sc.).
Romain joins A&O as part of the firm’s continued expansion across all of its practice groups in the U.S. market. He is the 44th U.S. lateral partner hire in the last three years.
