Allen & Overy advises banks in connection with inaugural green bond issued by Yara International
A cross-border team from Allen & Overy has advised Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and SG Americas Securities, LLC on a new USD 600m green bond, the first issued by Yara International ASA, the global crop nutrition company.
Yara intends to allocate an amount equivalent to the net proceeds from this offering to finance, or refinance in whole or in part, one or more, new or existing, green investments or assets in accordance with its green financing framework.
The Allen & Overy team in London was led by partner Brad Weyland, senior associate Baxter Schooley and associate Qi Xie.
Year to date, this bond offering represented the 112th green bond and 146th ESG bond for Allen & Overy globally.
