Hon’ble Allahabad High Court while dealing with the petition here on 05-02-2019 in the case of “Ram Sareesh Singh And 6 Others v. State Of U.P. And 2 Others” stated that the lower Court shall not grant any unnecessary adjournments to the parties.

BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE

This petition was made for issuing a direction to the Court below, before which L.A. Case No. 1/2010 under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act was pending, to decide the same, within a specified time. It was further contended that the Court is adjourning the case as a matter of course, without hearing the parties.

DECISION OF THE COURT

Hon’ble High Court held that the lower Court shall not grant any unnecessary adjournments to the parties and for such purpose for such purpose, shall fix short dates.

High Court further directed the lower Court below to ensure that the case is heard finally and the matter is decided without any further delay.
