Paris—Dentons advised Hutchinson, a French-headquartered manufacturer of components for the industrial and transportation sectors, on its acquisition of Cox & Company, a US-based specialist in de-icing and thermal management solutions for critical in-flight applications. This transaction reinforces Hutchinson’s position as a strategic partner in the aerospace sector.

The integration of Cox & Company and its subsidiary Prime Technology expands the Group’s portfolio of high‑performance solutions, including low-power EMEDS and TMEDS de-icing systems, which meet the growing requirements for reliability, safety, and energy efficiency from aircraft manufacturers.

The transaction also strengthens Hutchinson’s manufacturing presence in North America and Central America, with new sites in Plainview (New York), North Branford (Connecticut), and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), supporting its proximity-driven strategy through more than 35 sites dedicated to aerospace and defense worldwide.
