Latham & Watkins Advises TPG and Initial Group on Acquisition of Silver Tribe Media

TPG-backed entertainment company Initial Group has acquired Silver Tribe Media, a digital media management and production company working to shape the next generation of sports, news, and entertainment content. With the acquisition, Silver Tribe will rebrand as Initial Digital, becoming the first operating division to carry the Initial name and adding multichannel digital expertise to the platform.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised TPG and Initial Group in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Los Angeles partner Rick Offsay and New York counsel Julian Azran, with associates Rachel Klein and Emma Giusto, and assistance from Olivia Cardenas. Advice was also provided on tax matters by and Bay Area partner Katharine Moir, with associate Gregory Conyers; and on benefits matters by New York partner Erin Murphy, with associates Seokwon Lee and Anne Bracaglia.
