Dentons advises Alpha Bank on multiple financing transactions for M Core companies

Bucharest—Global law firm Dentons has advised Alpha Bank S.A. Greece and its local subsidiary in Luxembourg and Alpha Bank Romania S.A. on four real estate, retail, development, and acquisition finance transactions in Romania, with an aggregate value of almost €175 million, made available to several companies which are part of M Core.

Two loan facilities have been extended to the respective borrowers to facilitate the development of a diversified portfolio of retail centers across Romania.

Additionally, Alpha Bank S.A. Greece and its local subsidiary in Luxembourg provided financing to M Core for the acquisition of a portfolio of seven fully occupied strip malls from MAS PLC, located in Slobozia, Focșani, Râmnicu Sărat, Târgu Secuiesc, Sebeș, Făgăraș, and Gheorgheni, with a total leasable area of approximately 32,000 sqm, as well as of Focsani Shopping Centre and Suceava Shopping City, two core retail assets representing prominent retail destinations in northeastern Romania, with a total leasable area of approximately 88,100 sqm.
