Hogan Lovells advises Sojitz Corporation on its additional investment in Hycamite TCD Technologies
Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised its long standing client, Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz), on its additional investment in Hycamite TCD Technologies Oy (Hycamite), a startup that develops next-generation proprietary catalytic technology for use in the production of turquoise hydrogen.
As a result of the additional capital increase, which follows Sojitz’s initial investment in Hycamite in July 2023, Sojitz has now become the largest shareholder in the Finland-based startup. The additional investment demonstrates Sojitz’s ongoing commitment to further expand its partnership with Hycamite to develop and promote commercial-scale hydrogen projects both in Japan and throughout the world.
The transaction was led by Tokyo Corporate and Finance partner Jacky Scanlan Dyas and counsel Viet Nguyen.
