Linklaters has advised Prosolia Energy, one of Europe’s leading Independent Power Producers (IPPs) operating in both distributed generation and utility-scale markets, in establishing a strategic partnership with InfraVia, a leading European energy & infrastructure investor. This collaboration is set to bolster Prosolia’s international growth and enhance its standing as a leading provider of clean energy to the industrial sector.
Prosolia’s extensive portfolio spans approximately 343 MW in operational and under construction projects and includes a promising pipeline of over 3.7 GW of projects actively developing across key European markets, including Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and Germany.
It includes Prosomnes, a French-based joint venture with Omnes Capital, which currently has close to 212 MW of operational or under-construction projects and an additional 1.8 GW of advanced-stage development projects. The transaction includes buying out Omnes Capital’s entire stake in Prosomnes.
The partnership with InfraVia marks a transformative phase for Prosolia Energy as it accelerates the shift from being a leading IPP to becoming a comprehensive energy solutions provider. With its robust client base and utility-scale projects, Prosolia aims to deliver a comprehensive range of on-grid production, behind-the-meter solutions, and integrated energy management services.
InfraVia’s acquisition of a majority stake in Prosolia International, Prosolia Energy’s parent company, along with a substantial capital injection, is expected to provide fresh momentum for Prosolia’s ambitious business growth and expansive strategies.
