Clifford Chance advised a consortium of international financial institutions, including the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), DEG, the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), Proparco, and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK), on the €365 million financing for the development of the Kokshetau Hospital.
This landmark project, led by Rönesans Holding’s Kazakhstan subsidiary, involves the construction of a 630-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Kokshetau. As the first healthcare PPP in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, it will enhance services for over 730,000 residents and set a new standard for digitalisation with a digital hospital information management system.
