Baker McKenzie has advised Grundfos, a leading global provider of advanced pumping solutions and water technologies, on the acquisition of Culligan’s commercial and industrial business in Italy, France and the UK. The acquisition underscores Grundfos’ commitment to expanding its water treatment and wastewater solutions and capabilities.

Grundfos is a Danish company with an annual production of approximately 16 million pumps and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of energy-efficient and intelligent water solutions with nearly 20,000 employees across more than 66 countries.

Culligan is a global leader in water treatment and offers a comprehensive range of simple filtration systems for households through to commercial drinking water solutions. The acquired Commercial & Industrial division of Culligan, headquartered in Bologna, Italy, employs around 400 people and generated sales of more than 100 million euros in 2023.
