Womble Bond Dickinson announced today that Paul J. LeBlanc, Jr. has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in the Houston office. LeBlanc has extensive experience advising clients in real estate development and finance matters, including purchase and sale transactions, real estate development ventures, and commercial leasing. He represents clients on both sides of these transactions throughout Texas and the United States, including buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, lenders, and borrowers, with a significant focus on leading large real estate portfolio transactions.
Prior to joining Womble, LeBlanc was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw. His early career involved representing lenders in real estate and non-real estate lending transactions. This experience informs his current practice advising both institutional and non-institutional lenders and borrowers in loan transactions. In addition, his initial years of practice as a litigation associate inform his approach to analyzing client issues.
“Paul brings highly sought-after experience in leasing, development, and financing that will expand our full-service capabilities in Houston and firm-wide bench strength in real estate,” said Jeff Whittle, Houston Office Managing Partner and Head of the Global Energy and Natural Resources Sector. “His entrepreneurial spirit is an excellent fit for the firm and a great asset for our clients.”
Active in Houston’s legal and business communities, LeBlanc also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Literacy Now (formerly known as Making It Better), a nonprofit that empowers children and families through literacy and life skills.
LeBlanc has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Banking and Finance Law and Real Estate Law since 2023 and 2021, respectively, and in Texas Super Lawyers: Rising Stars since 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and the University of Texas at Austin.
