Linklaters has advised StudentSpace, a student housing platform, launched earlier this year by Signal Capital Partners, Griffin Capital Partners, and Echo Investment S.A, on the acquisition of two prime plots for the development of state-of-the-art dormitories in Kraków.
The secured plots will be developed into dormitories designed to accommodate over 1,200 students, with construction scheduled for completion before the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic year. These are the first investments by StudentSpace, which aims to develop a portfolio of 5,000 beds across key academic cities in Poland over the next three to five years.
The transaction was led by Tomasz Trystuła (managing associate), supported by Marta Strykowska (senior associate) and Joanna Roman (associate) from Warsaw real estate practice. Marcin Nowak (managing associate) from banking and finance practice advised on the financing aspects of the transaction.
