Clifford Chance has advised BBVA, BNP Paribas, Caixabank, Kutxabank, Banco Santander, and CACIB on a green guarantee facility amounting to EUR 1.2 billion granted to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A.U. CESCE will back 50% of the guarantees issued through its insurance activity on behalf of the Spanish state.
The facility will be considered green for banking and will be revolving, allowing new guarantees to be issued as current guarantees are released, up to the EUR 1.2 billion cap.
