Orion Infrastructure Capital (OIC), the US middle-market infrastructure manager, announced that it has successfully concluded the fundraising of its inaugural Infrastructure Growth Fund (the Fund). The Fund raised over US$370 million in commitments, surpassing the initial target size of US$350 million. The Fund saw strong demand from existing OIC investors that accounted for over 80% of the capital raised, while also adding new investors from Europe and North America. Investors included insurance companies, pension funds, foundations, and family offices.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented OIC in the fund formation with an investment funds team led by Washington, D.C. partner Amy Rigdon, with associates Lexi Santa Ana, Jason Xi, Michael Arnold, Natasha Kalaouze, and Chandler Johnson. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Gregory Hannibal and New York counsel Lauren Bewley, with associate Michael Syku; and on regulatory matters by Chicago partner Laura Ferrell, with associates Daniel Filstrup and Ruchi Sharma.
