Littler, the world’s largest employment and labour law practice representing management, has added Stephen Shore as a shareholder in its Toronto office. Shore joins from Ogletree Deakins and represents employers across all areas of employment and labour law.
“As we continue to expand our global footprint and bolster our capabilities across key jurisdictions, we are thrilled to welcome Stephen to our team in Toronto,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Attracting top talent who can provide sophisticated services for our clients with increasingly complex legal and business needs is a key priority for the firm, and Stephen certainly fits the bill. His arrival marks an important step in our commitment to grow and expand our operations across Canada.”
Shore brings more than 15 years of experience representing employers on the myriad workforce challenges impacting their businesses. He assists clients in matters related to corporate restructuring and transactions, applications for certifications, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and human rights issues, among others. Shore also represents employers in litigation related to dismissals and in proceedings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
Shore is also active in the Toronto legal and volunteer community, serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and as a member of the Human Resources Committee of UJA Federation of Greater Ontario.
“As the global powerhouse in employment and labour law, I was attracted to Littler’s vast geographic reach along with the firm’s unparalleled resources and its commitment to investing in the expansion of its Canadian operations,” Shore said. “I look forward to working alongside my talented new colleagues to support our clients across Canada in an ever-evolving legal landscape.”
Shore received his J.D. from the University of Toronto and his B.S. from Dalhousie University.
