Clifford Chance advises a syndicate of lenders on an EUR 750 million green revolving credit facility granted in favour of Acciona Energía Financiación Filiales

Madrid: Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised a syndicate comprised of 29 national and international lenders in connection with a green revolving credit facility for an amount of EUR 750 million granted in favour of Acciona Energía Financiación Filiales, S.A.U.

The financing has a three-year term with an option to extend for two more years. It is one of the largest green financings in the Spanish market to date.

CaixaBank, S.A. was the sustainability coordinator in the financing. As part of the deal, during the term of the financing Acciona will plant 26,000 trees per year, contributing to the fight against climate change and the preservation of biodiversity.

Clifford Chance’s team was led by Global Financial Markets partner Eugenio Fernández-Rico in Madrid who was supported by associates María González and Irene Hernández Morán.
