Allen & Overy (A&O) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Kowalczyk as a partner in its Litigation practice in Warsaw.
Adam joins A&O from Bird & Bird, where he was a partner since 2018. Adam has over 17 years of experience as a general commercial litigator, as well as white-collar crime and investigations specialist. He acts for financial institutions, private and public companies from various sectors (infrastructure and transport, energy & utilities, chemicals and heavy industry), local governments, state-owned entities, and high-net-worth individuals. Apart from resolving complex commercial disputes, Adam specialises in internal inquiries, business fraud and corruption, money laundering, sanctions compliance, insider trading and tax crimes.
Adam joins with a team of three professionals, including Grzegorz Kostrzewa, counsel, and Jacek Becker and Mateusz Kosowicz, associates. The combined Litigation team headed by partners Krystyna Szczepanowska-Kozłowska, Bartosz Merczyński and Adam Kowalczyk will consist of three partners, two counsels and fifteen associates.
