Global law firm Dentons advised Lithuanian-headquarted energy company Ignitis Grupė AB on two financing transactions. The first was a 12-month, €100 million credit facility from Citibank N.A. London Branch. The second was a €225 million transaction from MUFG Bank, consisting of a €150 million trade financing limit and a 24-month €75 million term loan. In both cases, the financing will be used for Ignitis Grupė’s working capital needs.
A leading energy group in the Baltic region, Ignitis Grupė’s subsidiaries are involved in power and heat generation and distribution, natural gas trade and distribution, and supporting services.
Partner Mark Segall and senior associate Anna Booth acted as English law advisers to Ignitis Grupė AB on both loans. Dentons worked alongside a team from TGS Baltic – a member of the Nextlaw referral network – who served as Lithuanian counsel.
