San Diego — Kimberly Jansen has joined the Quarles & Brady San Diego office as of counsel in the Labor, Employment & Benefits Practice Group.

Jansen advises employers on strategic compliance with California’s workplace laws, which remain complex and subject to ongoing change. She understands the intricacies of the California Labor Code, laws against unlawful behavior in the workplace and leave laws. She previously worked at a California-based labor law boutique, where she provided advice and counsel to clients on a broad range of legal issues including wage and hour compliance, employment handbooks, arbitration agreements, leaves of absence, reductions in force and employee discipline.

Jansen, who was listed on Southern California Super Lawyers^® “Rising Stars” from 2013–2016, holds a Bachelor of Arts from Thurgood Marshall College and a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
