International law firm Clifford Chance announces that Adam Hedley will be joining the firm in December 2022 as an Environmental and ESG partner based in London. Adam joins from Reed Smith’s ESG and Environmental practice where he advised on a spectrum of UK and international, environmental, ESG, product compliance, carbon and climate change law matters.
Adam’s appointment reflects Clifford Chance’s continued investment in its global ESG expertise and client support which spans across a range of practices and sectors, bringing additional strength to the firm’s Global Environment Group, in particular its climate change and carbon trading, environment, health and safety (EHS) governance, and product compliance and liability offer.
Adam has a developed a specialist focus on the environmental and health & safety aspects of ESG. Key areas include climate change adaptation and mitigation projects; climate-related corporate reporting; carbon offsetting and neutrality objectives; renewables and alternative/sustainable fuels regulation, compliance and incentive schemes; and compliance with the myriad of environmental laws on environmental damage, pollution, waste and extended producer responsibility. A recent headline mandate for Adam includes EHS governance work and product compliance for one of the largest global cloud platforms.
