SNG & Partners announces the elevation of Sanjay Gupta to Managing Partner – Dispute Resolution Practice and Amit Aggarwal to Senior Partner at the Firm, after its recent collaboration with R&P Partners across nine cities including Singapore. SNG & Partners, with its Partner count of 19, and R&P Partners with its Partner strength of 6, had earlier this year, collaborated through an exclusive joint venture after which the consolidated strength of the firms is over 25+ Partners and 120+ lawyers.
About Sanjay Gupta
With close to three and a half decades of experience at the bar, Sanjay is a seasoned litigator and renowned for his litigation strategy and court craft. The expanse of his appearances ranges from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and to High Courts across the country, with a robust practice base in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. He is also representing clients before various Tribunals and Appellate Tribunals constituted under various Statutes. Sanjay is also an avid ADR practitioner and has been representing clients in domestic as well as international arbitrations. The core areas of his expertise are Commercial and Contractual Laws, laws relating to Economic Offences, Industrial Laws, Personal Laws and Succession Laws. He has assisted his father and renowned author, Late Shri S.N. Gupta, in research work in the publication of various books that hold immense prestige on the subject of Banking Laws.
About Amit Aggarwal
A graduate from Faculty of Law, Delhi University and a qualified Company Secretary, Amit has more than two and a half decades of experience in the legal services industry. Amit has been associated with SNG & Partners since 2001 and heads the firm’s Corporate & Banking practice. His areas of specialization include Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets (both debt and equity segment), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Private Equity transactions. He frequently advises international investors on their India investment strategies. He has also been the advisor to private equity funds for their investment and exit strategies in India. He specialises in complex banking transactions such as, hybrid debt transactions, project finance, and structured trade finance and regularly advises alternative investment funds on their investments in Indian securities. His expertise also includes advising family offices on their entry, investment and exit strategies in various sectors in India.
