Dentons is pleased to announce that George Tai, Partner in the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities and Corporate Finance Groups, has been appointed as the new Office Managing Partner in Calgary, effective February 1.

Over his 30 years of practice, George has developed extensive experience advising clients, primarily in the energy and technology sectors, on a wide range of corporate law matters, including mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings, licensing contracts and more. Beyond being an legal advisor who provides strategic and pragmatic advice, George partners up with clients to help them understand and make sense of the law as it relates to their business.
George also joins the National Management Committee, in addition to his other leadership roles at the Firm, including lead of Dentons Canada’s China Desk and the co-lead of the Calgary office’s Venture Tech Practice Group.
