Dentons has advised AGO Hotels on its acquisition of two Ibis hotels in South Wales.
AGO Hotels have acquired the 99-bedroom Ibis hotel in Swansea and a 104 bedroom Ibis budget hotel in Newport. Both hotels will continue to trade under their current brands following their acquisition.
Corporate partner Matthew Tinger commented:
“We are delighted to have acted for AGO Hotels on this transaction which is a clear sign of the resurgence of the economy hotel sector.”
Real Estate & Hotels partner Simon Masri added:
“We are pleased to have advised AGO Hotels on these acquisitions which are another major step in AGO’s growth strategy.”
The transaction was led by Corporate Real Estate partner Matthew Tinger, and Real Estate & Hotels partner Simon Masri and supported by Real Estate associate Varun Devesher.
This is the latest hotels transaction that Dentons has advised on following the firm advising on the sale of Hilton Maidstone and the sale of Hilton Cardiff earlier this year.
