DLA Piper advises AfricInvest in the CMGP-CAS joint venture in Morocco

DLA Piper advised AfricInvest, the pan-African private equity fund manager, in the context of its investment, alongside African Development Partners II, a fund managed by Development Partners International (DPI), in CMGP Group’s capital.

This transaction will allow CMGP Group and its subsidiary Compagnie Marocaine de Goutte à Goutte et de Pompage (CMGP) to finance the acquisition of 100% of Comptoir Agricole du Souss (CAS) and its subsidiaries Process and Agrival, thus creating CMGP- CAS, a new Moroccan and Pan-African leader in irrigation, agro-supplies, solar energy and water infrastructure.

CMGP is a major player in the distribution and installation of drip irrigation equipment in the agricultural sector in Morocco and CAS is a major player in agro-supplies in Morocco.
