Led by Dusseldorf Partner Birgit Reese and Paris Partner Xavier Doumen international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the French public financial institution Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) on the acquisition of a minority stake of 28.5% in the financing platform Capveriant GmbH. Closing of the transaction is subject to certain closing conditions, in particular clearance from the EU Commission.
Caisse des Dépôts invests in the FinTech company through its business division Banque des Territoires.
Capveriant, a subsidiary of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, operates a digital platform that brings together public borrowers and institutional investors. The platform launched in Germany in 2018 and expanded its offering to the French market in 2019.
