DLA Piper has advised Ignitis Group on its acquisition of a minority stake in the Moray West wind farm development project on the east coast of Great Britain.
The acquisition represents a strategic partnership between Ocean Winds and Ignitis Group for the development of offshore wind farm projects.
Ignitis Group, an international energy company and one of the largest energy groups in the Baltic region, started the search for a strategic partner for the development of offshore wind farm projects in Q1 2019.
The DLA Piper team advising Ignitis Group on the deal securing this partnership was led by Global Co-Chair of Infrastructure Martin Nelson-Jones and Global Co-Chair of Energy and Natural Resources Natasha Luther-Jones.
Last year DLA Piper, in collaboration with Inframation, launched its European Offshore Wind report looking at the future of the sector and how is the market developing.
