About Programme:

Arbitration is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to resolve disputes outside the courts. The dispute could be decided by either one or more persons (the ‘arbitrators’, ‘arbiters’ or ‘arbitral tribunal’).The arbitration award rendered by the Arbitrator/Arbitral tribunal is legally binding on both sides and enforceable in the courts. Arbitration is often used for the resolution of commercial disputes, particularly in the context of international commercial transactions.
Of late Arbitration is one of the dispute resolution mechanisms which is gaining momentum and many corporates now prefer to approach an Arbitrator than filing cases with various courts and waiting indefinitely for justice. While knowing the acts, rules is important, understanding the provisions and interpreting the same for the benefit of the dispute on hand i.e the practical side is another part and probably in many matters including arbitration, presentation plays an equal role, as the knowledge of the provisions of various acts and rules. A session to guide the participants on various of code of conduct/ etiquettes to be followed at the Arbitral sessions will be conducted by the Master trainer, a week before the programme to help the participants to conduct the arbitral sessions on the scheduled day and to play an effective role as the Claimant, Respondent, or the Arbitrator.
This programme, we are sure, would give a hands-on experience to participants, guide them on the nuances of conducting arbitration proceedings, while understanding the importance of the ADR.
