Linklaters advised Arise IIP on the creation of a 400 ha integrated industrial platform in the region of Adétikopé in Togo, some 20 km north of Lomé, in partnership with the Republic of Togo to be developed through a joint venture company held by Arise IIP and the Republic of Togo.
This project, which represents a total investment of 200 million euros, aims to create a logistics hub to industrialize the local processing of many Togolese products, particularly from agriculture, such as cotton, cashew nuts, soy, rice and sesame, and thus facilitate their export.
The Plateforme Industrielle d’Adétikopé (PIA) will include a parking lot for 700 trucks, a storage space for 12,500 TEU containers, an unloading and transfer warehouse, a cotton storage site, as well as a 200,000 m² area dedicated to other logistics activities. PIA is expected to be operational from January 2021 for its first phase.
